FINALLY!!!

Cancelled my visa application, because it turns out I didn't need one at all. Stupid immigration laws!!!! So, I missed my flight on Monday and spent Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday on the phone calling anyone and everyone to get my passport back to me!!!!! I finally got it today at 4:30 P.M. and will be leaving OKC tomorrow afternoon at 1:45 P.M.  I will be arriving in London, England around 7:40 A.M. on Saturday morning. 

It took a while, but I'm almost there!!!! WISH ME LUCK!!!!

Stuff Happens...

Now believe me when I say that 'stuff' isn't really the word I would use at this point.  It's Saturday, Jan. 24th and I should be packed to move to England on Monday. Well, I'm not. I have yet to get my visa or hear anything about my visa. Yes, I know you all are frustrated, but believe me when I tell you that I've been crying the majority of the day. Except for when other people are around. lol 

Anyhow, we aren't allowed to change our flight without paying $3000 and THAT AIN'T GONNA  HAPPEN!!!! So, Emily and I are planning to call Patricia at the British Consulate and HOUND her British bum until she gives us confirmation that our visa's have been sent!! Then hopefully I will get to leave on Wed. Buying a one way ticket there and then using our tickets we bought originally to come back on. Hopefully saving us money. 

So, that is all for now. I'll post next probably once I get there. 

Adios...I know I know I'm not going to Costa Rica. 

18 days and counting...

18 days until I'm off to England for three months.  I'm extremely excited and a bit on the nervous side. I'm sure the nerves will be hitting me come Jan. 25.  But, until then, it's all excitement!!!  We all seem to still be waiting on our visas.  Which is making us all a bit uneasy.  But, hopefully they will be coming SOON!! 

I got to speak with a friend of mine who did her student teaching there last semester.  Another fellow Phys. Ed. person.  She was extremely helpful in what to expect, suggestions on traveling, and other things.  Speaking with her I think helped with the nerves.  She said that the people over there are extremely kind and are more than happy to help us out in any way that they can.  She and another girl from their group travelled pretty much every weekend, and she encouraged me to find at least one other person to travel with.  It seemed like it worked better in smaller groups.  

My departure date is January 26th at 12:35 P.M. from Tulsa International Airport.  Emily and I will be traveling together and the other 5 will be coming the day after us.
